Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the Role

We are looking for Senior Business Analyst to join Biosecurity New Zealand in a permanent role within the Pest Management Group.

In this role you will work in the National Wilding Conifer Control Programme, a successful collaboration between central and local government, landowners, farmers, forestry owners, iwi, researchers and community trusts. 

You will develop, design, document and implement new services, processes or tools, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and procedures across the Programme using proven process improvement methodologies.

 

Mōu – About You

You will bring your experience as a Senior Business Analyst along with your ability to get stuff done and your enjoyment of working in a busy environment where no two days are the same. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst
  • Experience in process change implementation and management, specifically the development and implementation of interventions that support users through a period of process or system change
  • Experience in requirement identification, gathering and assessment:
    • Can clearly and quickly identify and define the issue, problem, or opportunity, and  
    • Can develop the appropriate plan/approach to collect the necessary information, engage with right areas/people, and perform the required analysis to confirm or modify the current approach, or recommend changes.
  • Experience in solution assessment and validation to assess and validate any recommended changes or solutions.
  • Understand and have experience in analytical thinking and problem solving using accepted frameworks, approaches techniques and tools.
  • Be able to communicate effectively across all organisational levels, and with external vendors, stakeholders and customers.

This role is broad banded D and E which will be between $75k and $108k depending on skills and experience.
