The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) plays a critical role in regulating capital markets and financial services in New Zealand and providing better outcomes for investors, consumers, professionals, businesses, and for the New Zealand economy.

Within the Operations function, our Project and Digital Services team offers a business-wide service delivering projects that successfully implement change for the FMA by integrating into existing processes, whilst minimising its disruptive impact. We are currently looking for an outstanding Senior Business Analyst to join our team working across both technical and business projects.

The key focus of this position is to provide business analysis and process design for a range of projects across the organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to truly drive results through understanding what the business does and then leveraging this knowledge to develop and implement improvements, which make the best use of available technology whilst ensuring that the FMA’s standards, approach and methodology is consistently applied.

Key to your success will be your proven experience working with Microsoft Office 365 products as a Senior Business Analyst, ideally gained in a regulatory and/or government environment, along with exceptional documentation skills and a solid understanding of the technical requirements. Your exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills will allow you to engage effectively and confidently with the wider business.
