The Team: What we do

Canterbury and West Coast DHBs are looking for a super-star Senior Business Analyst to join their Holidays Act Compliance Programme; a large, multi-stage change programme. Like many NZ employers, the complexity of the Holidays Act has led to areas of non-compliance. The programme team are responsible for working with stakeholders to identify, understand and fix existing compliance issues. The programme will impact several business-critical areas of daily operation; payroll/rostering systems, employee data, operational working practises and contractual arrangements.

The Role: Where you fit in

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading business analysis activity for the Holidays Act Compliance Programme
  • Leading, coaching and mentoring team members (subject matter experts)
  • Working with the Programme Manager to plan, manage, allocate and execute business analysis activity
  • The production of key programme outputs, including current and future state analysis, options papers and testing documentation
  • Facilitating cross-functional and cross-organisational workshops

Your skills will include the following:

  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound ability to interpret business needs and develop appropriate solutions, both technical and process driven
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all organizational levels and be a conduit between technical and operational teams
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Process and documentation writing
  • Experience of payroll and rostering systems is highly desirable
