We are looking for a fantastic Senior Business Analyst to join our dedicated team who work to improve the lives of New Zealanders.
 

About the role

 

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in influencing the activities across all our Service Delivery areas (Work and Income, Senior Services, Studylink).
 

You will:

 

• Lead the development of new business initiatives
• Provide valuable insights and produce data-informed recommendations
• Analyse business data to extract information, conduct trends analysis and identify business issues and opportunities. 
 

You will be responsible for developing effective strategies to improve regional performance; that enable our MSD regions to achieve or exceeds key performance indicators. This includes providing regular and customised reporting, insights and recommendations to the regional governance group. You will lead the development and implementation of new business initiatives and innovation within the region and ensure these initiatives are linked to national strategies.
 

About you

 

To be successful in this role you will bring exceptional research and analysis skills, coupled with a demonstrated ability to extract and use meaningful information. You will have strong business acumen, reporting and monitoring skills as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders. You will also be highly proficient in spread sheets, macros, statistical and database tools. Experience using Visual Analytics tools would be an advantage.
