About the role

We have a permanent position available for a Senior Business Performance Advisor to join MBIE’s Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand.

This is a new role with IPONZ in which you will work closely with the IPONZ management team to advise and support them in optimising the performance of IPONZ.

We are looking for someone with highly developed analytical and conceptual thinking ability, who has a strong focus on quality management and continuous improvement, and is flexible and agile with a positive, proactive approach to their work.

 

To be successful in this role you will also have:

  • Capable of developing alternative pathways to achieving outcomes.
  • Experience in development of business plans and strategies.
  • Experience in the use of process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience and understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems standard and its application in practice.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, develop frameworks and manage organisation wide systems and processes.
  • Sound relationships management skills to create and enhance working relationships and positively influence internal and external stakeholders, by earning their respect, trust and confidence.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills. The ability to synthesise business, policy and technical issues and present them with simplicity and clarity that can be understood by a range of audiences.
  • Excellent organisational ability.
  • Numerical and data analysis skills using statistical reporting tools.
