The Role: What this opportunity’s all about

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for working with the ISG team to provide a level of service excellence across all Information and Communication Technology [ICT] solutions whilst maintaining the development and delivery of the ISG work plan.

We are at the beginning of our Hybrid Cloud Transformation journey.

An opportunity to join young cloud engineering teams in a large IT organisation with complex needs. You will have come from a hosting/infrastructure background and have proven success in delivering reliable and robust application hosting in traditional and cloud based hosting platforms.

It is a real opportunity for you to join us as we are looking to embark on an exciting period of technology transformation, where you will have the opportunity to guide it forward

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Three to five years Azure IaaS/AWS

A good working knowledge required of the following:

  • Infrastructure as Code, ARM, Azure CLI
  • Git, Git Flow
  • Azure DevOps
  • PowerShell
  • Oracle
  • SQL Server
  • Bash
  • *nix

An advantage if you can demonstrate knowledge of the following:

  • Terraform
  • Wide Area Networking, BGP
  • AD
  • Application deployment and automation technologies
  • Application development
  • Experience working in a large organisation and/or in a pressured and ever-changing environment
  • Knowledge of health environments would be preferable
  • A tertiary level qualification in, Information Services, Engineering or related field is preferable
