We have a vacancy for a Senior Commercial Portfolio Manager to lead a team in delivering a customer focused approach to procurement. This roles will:
What the role does
This is a key commercial leadership role responsible for delivering flexible procurement across the Ministry. Your portfolio of customers will include a number of Ministry Divisions and will see you directly supporting a wide range of Ministry initiatives. Your particular focus will be high value capital and infrastructure procurements, for which you will provide specialist knowledge in support of national infrastructure and capital projects. You will find yourself actively involved in delivering some of the most significant outcomes the Ministry is tasked to achieve.
In doing this, you will be a leader and advocate for high quality procurement practice, including flexible and agile market approaches, as well as implementing strategic procurement and supplier relationship management across the Ministry.
What we need
We are looking for self-starters with strong leadership and relational management skills, and the skills to provide strong thought leadership. The successful candidate will be customer-focused, approachable, and have a great attitude. They will be experienced in the practical application of procurement skills across a wide range of markets, with particular strengths in delivering infrastructure and capital procurement projects. They will bring with them a passion for delivering public value through great procurement practice.
