The Ministry of Justice provides leadership to the Justice Sector and partners closely with the New Zealand Police, the Department of Corrections and a number of other agencies.

Ministry staff help ensure the smooth running of the courts, and support court participants as they navigate their way through the system.

We have an opportunity for a Communications Advisor, to join our dynamic team based in Wellington on a fixed term, full-time basis working on a project supporting Court Victims Advisors with communications advice and supporting collateral.  This role has an immediate start and will be complete on 30 October 2020.  There is a design element to the role. 

You will have several years’ experience in a communications role, preferably within a busy team, and you will have a good understanding of government and the public sector, and the separation of powers with the judiciary and courts.  Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds would be advantageous.

The salary range for this role is $83,219 to $117,485.  We expect to appoint this role in the middle of this range.
