What you will do

As the Senior Cyber Security Analyst you will be part of a team of analysts who detect and respond to Cyber Security Incidents.

You will:

  • Investigate and analyse incidents to determine malicious intent;
  • Resolve complex problems;
  • Mentor the analysts to build the capability of the team;
  • Vet analyst product for delivery to the CSOC Manager;
  • Provide input to the establishment of the monitoring capability;
  • Contribute to procedures and documentation;
  • Refine processes;
  • Provide support to the Team Lead as required.

What we need

To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of cyber risks and common attack vectors;
  • Knowledge of enterprise detection technologies and processes;
  • Knowledge of network protocols and operating systems;
  • Proven excellence in written communication skills;
  • Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships;
  • Knowledge of NZ Government security requirements.

This position operates on a 24/7 shift pattern and will involve out-of-hours work.

There is an on-call component to this role so you must be happy to make yourself available 24/7. On-call allowance and phone provided.
