About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior digital advisor to join a busy Engagement and Communications Team. This role is responsible for providing high quality, user-centric digital advice and services across internal and external channels including the HUD website, social media and intranet.

About you

As an experienced senior digital channels advisor, you will have proven experience working at a strategic level, leading the development and implementation of digital strategy, standards, policies and processes. You’ll enjoy taking a hands-on approach, providing trusted digital guidance, advice and support to the business and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Your background will include:

  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate digital strategy, standards, policies and processes
  • Excellent project and time management skills – able to handle multiple competing projects including BAU and major project work involving implementation of website enhancements
  • Demonstrated experience in online content creation for websites, intranet and social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including writing, editing and proof reading
  • A strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practice
  • Experience interpreting and translating web analytics into meaningful recommendations
  • Knowledge and understanding of government web standards and web content best practice, including accessibility, search engine optimisation and plain language
  • Up to date with the latest digital trends, techniques and technologies
  • Practical experience with Content Management Systems (preferably Silverstripe) and MS Office
  • CWP Stack Manager experience is desirable.
