About the Role

A great opportunity has become available for a talented Senior Executive Assistant to work with our DCE Service Delivery on a secondment or fixed term until June 2019. In this role you will become an integral part of the Service Delivery Leadership Team, working within the team to help deliver to MSD’s purpose.

You will provide high level professional executive support required for this senior role and work proactively with the DCE, dealing with issues and mitigating risks. This position demands excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.

You’ll keep connected with other executive assistants across the Ministry, ensuring a coordinated approach to scheduling.

Utilising sound judgment and exceptional initiative you will anticipate the DCE’s needs.  You pride yourself on being a born organiser with the ability to retain large amounts and information and ensure nothing gets forgotten or overlooked.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will:

  • be an experienced Executive Assistant comfortable working at an executive level
  • self-managing with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude
  • have a professional attitude at all times acting as  a trusted advisor
  • thrive on developing successful relationships at all levels
  • be administratively and systems competent with attention to detail
  • be comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and have an unflappable approach in challenging situations

  • work collaboratively and connect with colleagues across wider business groups to get things done
  • be confident and exercise sound judgement to keep things moving without your manager making sure deadlines are met.
