This is a fast paced and satisfying role where you will have the opportunity to make your mark. Your advice will directly influence decisions on bargaining outcomes, policy directions and issue resolution processes.
As stewards of the health workforce we work in partnership across the health system to ensure that there is a diverse workforce pipeline that will provide the health workforce New Zealand needs now and in the future; and that the employment environment is both sustainable and adaptable to new and evolving models of care.
You will get to work with District Health Boards, central agencies, health sector unions and senior Ministry of Health staff across a wide range of gritty issues like pay equity, Holidays Act remediation and collective bargaining.
To be successful your skill set will include:
Ideally you will have either a tertiary qualifciation or relevant experience, preferably in employment relations or an equally challenging and complex field. Knowing your way around a collective agreement, having an understanding of how bargaining works and some experience working in the Public Sector would also be helpful.
