The team

The Common Operating Environment and Device team monitors and manages an environment, ensuring high quality and standardised user experience and common set of applications and technologies. This modern workplace will give user the ability to connect and collaborate anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

The role

As a Senior Engineer, you will act as an escalation point for your team, providing real-world experience and guidance in the resolution of incidents and problems, as well as the implementation of changes. Working closely with the Domain Architect and Solution Designer, you will take a lead in the involvement of development of new products and product enhancements as well as providing guidance to other members of your team. You will be able to work with, and provide subject matter expertise to other product teams to ensure that products are fit for purpose.
Technical skills

Ideally knowledge of or exposure to a combination of the following:

  • Deployment and management of Windows 10, with Microsoft 365 in a virtual desktop environment;
  • Windows software deployment and configuration tool (e.g. Intune) (essential);
  • Desktop Virtualisation (essential);
  • Involvement in large-scale desktop deployment and support;
  • Understand nuisances of EUC device selection.

Additional skills

Experience in, or knowledge of:

  • Desire to mentor, teach and grow the Engineers within the team (essential);
  • IT change management;
  • Capacity planning;
  • Configuration management.
