The team

The Information Team monitors and manages the NZDF Information systems – primarily the document and content management systems. We work closely with other product teams, NZDF customers, and business owners to deliver services to the NZDF.

As a Senior Engineer, your responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with architects and designers to develop new products and services;
  • Using your expertise to resolve incidents and problems;
  • Mentoring your product team to drive improved engineering practices;
  • Contributing to the growth of technical capability through active participation in communities of practice.
  • Technical skills

    Knowledge of or exposure to a combination of the following:

  • Microsoft products (SharePoint, Windows Server, SQL Server) (essential);
  • Programming languages (C#.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Basic.NET) (essential);
  • Office 365 integration (essential);
  • Third party SharePoint tools (Nintex, AvePoint, DocAve, RecordPoint) (advantageous);
  • Knowledge of inter-operability standards (advantageous);
  • Azure Platform and Azure Stack (advantageous).
  • Additional skills

    Experience in, or knowledge of:

  • IT change management;
  • Capacity planning;
  • Configuration management;
  • SAFe Agile;
  • IT Security.
