As a Senior Frontend Developer you will be sitting within the Digital team in Auckland. Your main mandate as a senior resource will be to develop bespoke Saas solutions to our clients. New user-facing features that require user authentication, building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. You will be translating designs and wireframes into high quality code, deploying the application to Azure through pipelines and optimising components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers. Furthermore, you will also have the opportunity to impart your skills and expertise onto the more Junior members of the team.
Specific responsibilities would also be as follows:
Analysis of application software including performance, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
Conduct peer reviews for other members of the development team, ensuring that conventions are adhered too and that requirements are correctly implemented.
Work with staff and clients to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation of existing software applications.
Work with staff and clients to identify opportunities for new software that will be of benefit to the organisation.
Provide feedback to staff and clients about performance considerations / usability issues concerning software specifications and implementations.
Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to diagnose and resolve software problems.
Provide technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of the development team and assist with their upskilling.
Act as a member of an agile development team (e.g. a SCRUM sprint team) as and when required to fulfil role responsibilities and objectives.
Assist with technical peer review with product owners and technical implementation teams.

What do you need to bring to the role?
A minimum of 3 years React.JS (ReactHooks) development experience within an Agile- Scrum environment would be a given
Proven capabilities in MVC and Restful API development
Strong skills in building cloud native applications on Azure in PaaS
In-depth knowledge with Github or other Git repositories
Established experience in Azure DevOps, particularly building pipelines
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles having worked closely with UX/UI designers
Understanding and or experience with user authentication with OIDC protocol and SSO, DevOps, Microservices, Azure Portal, Azure DevOps, Docker and Security
Experience with Redux, strong skills in HTML and CSS, especially within a Progressive Web Development environment (mobile etc)
Full Stack .Net Development experience, experience with .NET Core, TSQL and SQL Server preferred but not a main qualifier for the role
