About the Role

Capabilities we are looking for in addition to being a senior developer;
• Support the Tech lead in providing technical leadership
• Ability to implement a complete solution to complex problems, including, design, initial setup.
• DevOps and agile experience conversant with multiple cloud platforms and associated DevOps toolsets
• Able to implement complex features and unit tests and fix complex bugs.
• Ability to lead more junior developers and provide guidance on best practices, design patterns
• Prepare clear and concise written communication including formal specifications and documentation, letters and emails, contracts and proposals and wiki-based project and support documentation
• Deal directly with stakeholders internally and from our customers at all levels
What you’ll do
We are looking to build New Zealand’s leading services team and need someone that shares the same vision. Customer obsession, along with focused delivery capability are a must, combined with ambitious aspirations to run it all. The tech lead will be responsible for leading the technical direction across specific customer engagements, mentoring developers and analysts, and engaging with customers as required.
You are thoroughly versed in Service Management or Support in a large-scale and diverse environment of incident management, escalation procedures and related disciplines. Previous experience as a Team Lead or demonstrable experience in leading virtual / geographically dispersed teams is also beneficial, as well as managing 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services.
What you’ll bring
6+ years’ experience working on IT projects across multiple phases of the SDLC.
Team player, who enjoys working collaboratively.
Must be able to anticipate and proactively handle issues.
Must be excellent at personal task management and follow through.
Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft stack technologies
Strong knowledge of .Net or .Net Core, experience creating and consuming web services and web applications.
Experience with Azure cloud platform or comparable public cloud platform.
DevOps experience with hands on CI/CD.
Experience with desktop and middleware applications will be an advantage
