The Opportunity This consultancy has experts in areas that include contaminated land and hazardous waste, geology, geotechnics, stormwater management, hydrology, river engineering, aquatic ecology, groundwater, coastal, water supply, wastewater, solid waste, air quality, geospatial services, civil engineering, consents and environmental management. You will be joining an employee owned consultancy with offices throughout New Zealand, with a team of nearly 200 people. Our client is seeking a driven junior level geotechnical engineer/engineering geologist to provide input into a wide range of projects and further develop their skills and expertise in finding solutions to geotechnical issues. In this role you will be involved with: Manage geotechnical projects including residential / commercial land development, geohazard and land stability of service corridors, solid waste management, water storage & treatment and aggregate quarrying. Plan, write and review technical reports and provide input into engineering design. Contract management including cost estimating, tender and contract preparation, construction monitoring and commissioning. About You You will be degree qualified for a recognised leading university in either Civil Engineering majoring in Geotechnical Engineering or Geology degree together with a Master’s or Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering Geology with around 8 or more year’s experience in New Zealand. Candidates for this role will need to be based in and hold the right to work in New Zealand.
