About the role:

MBIE has recently reviewed its internal governance arrangements and is strengthening the governance team. This fixed term position has been created within the Enterprise Strategy, Governance and Performance (ESGP) business group to help us build our practice and deliver the outcomes of the review. 

We are seeking a professional to work three days a week as part of a team providing governance advice and support to senior level people leaders and governance committees.  You’ll work with a wide range of people across MBIE and this is a great opportunity to work in the organisation at a strategic level.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience managing key relationships at all levels
  • The ability to work strategically in a complex, fast-paced and fast-changing environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • The ability to prioritise and actively manage multiple work streams within tight time constraints
  • Excellence in writing and presenting information at a high level to deliver quality outcomes
  • A continuous improvement focus with at least three years’ experience identifying opportunities for improving and supporting solution design, change and implementation
  • The legal right to live and work in NZ

This role will report to the Head of Governance, ESGP, within the Corporate, Governance and Information branch.
