DOC is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Advisor, Governance & Performance, to take a lead role in overseeing the performance of Conservation Crown entities and the delivery of major initiatives across the Conservation landscape. He angitūtanga: About the Role
As the Senior Advisor, you will work closely with the Manager – Governance & Performance to ensure the team delivers work programmes across the Crown’s Conservation portfolio, use your skills to lead, inspire, develop, and build overall capability of the team
In this role you will have direct responsibility for advising Ministers, Chief Executives, and other senior decision makers to help deliver improved outcomes across DOC and its partners. You will have significant exposure with Ministers, Chief Executives and Boards to support the delivery of the Government’s Conservation priorities, oversee the performance of the conservation agencies, and ultimately help drive performance over the long-term.

In this fast paced and exciting role, you will bring an ability to see the big picture, with strong analytical skills that enable you to effectively advise Ministers, Chief Executives and senior decision makers. Your innovative thinking will help shape the work programme and identify new approaches.
You will need to have strong skills in developing high quality and concise advice for Ministers, along with the confidence to engage with Chief Executives and Boards. You may have a background in Crown monitoring or specific skills in regulatory, policy, funding and/or commercial. We are open to considering individuals who may bring a mix of skills and experience across these areas.
