We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Adviser to be a trusted business partner to work with internal customers who are mostly based in Auckland.

You will provide expert advice and support on Human Resource policies and practices to deliver successful results through:

  • Developing MPI’s people capability;
  • Providing products and services as a trusted adviser;
  • Building effective working relationships with managers and staff at all levels throughout MPI, as well as with employee representatives/unions; and
  • Growing connections and acting on continuous improvement opportunities.

Mōu – About You:

This is a true generalist role which supports people leaders across a range of disciplines and work environments. You will predominately be supporting our staff in Biosecurity New Zealand and working with our Border and Quarantine staff in a fast paced operational environment. You will be self-motivated and a strong communicator with broad generalist HR experience including managing employment relations matters, supporting change management, developing and coaching people leaders and enjoy working in a fast-paced rapidly changing work environment with multiple employment agreements. You will have worked with challenging and complex people situations.
