Te āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the Role

We are looking for a Senior who will be a hard-working, motivated team player to join our Information Management team.

The Senior Information Advisor role is responsible for providing quality, accurate, timely and expert information mangement advice and support to the Ministry, Te Arawhiti, Courts and the Judiciary.

As the Senior Information Advisor you will be expected to:

  • support and provide training, guidance and advice to the Ministry and Courts on best information management practices and tools/services and projects
  • work in partnership with the wider Data & Information team in the delivery of the Ministry Information Management Strategy Plan, policies and projects
  • coach, mentor, lead the Information Advisors

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will need :

  • at least 5 years of experience in a similar senior role
  • demonstrated experience in advising and supporting staff at all levels in large or complex organisations
  • excellent communication skills
  • a sound understanding of the public sector, public records act 2005, related legislation, standards and guidelines
