The International & Business Performance Statistics unit produces a wide range of economic statistics and has access to data sources with untapped potential for telling rich stories about New Zealand s economy. The role | Mō te tūnga
As the Senior Insights Analyst you will lead research and analytical projects to maximise value of the insights we provide to our customers, and to be world-leading in our field. This will involve seeing projects through from design to dissemination, involving stakeholders along the way (both internal and external).
There are two Senior Insights Analyst roles available within the following team:
In the Business Performance team your role will be advancing our work on measuring the digital economy, working with international colleagues and other senior technical people.
In the International Trade team your role will be leading a team of analysts to ensure our suite of statistical releases about New Zealand s trade with the world, and accompanying editorial, is world-class in both design and appearance.
In either role you will work across teams as needed. You will bring analytical expertise, an ability to work dynamically and unquenchable curiosity.

Starting salary: $88,327 – $103,914 negotiable depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Positions can be located in either Wellington or Christchurch.
