We are seeking a Senior Lawyer with the skill and experience to provide high quality strategic legal advice to join our Corporate Law team in Wellington.

 

About the Role

We are looking for a senior lawyer who enjoys the variety of working across corporate areas of law, primarily those of contracting and procurement, privacy, employment, and health and safety laws.

 

You will be supporting others to grow and develop and will also have the opportunity to take the lead on a number of key legal projects. While government contract experience is ideal, your keenness to learn and look for ways to add value and grow is also of interest to us.

 

Ministry of Social Development

MSD is the lead agency for the social sector.  We help the Government to set priorities across the sector, co-ordinate the actions of other social sector agencies and track changes in the social wellbeing of New Zealanders.

  • Inspiring mentor and trainer for junior lawyers
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and a current New Zealand practising certificate
