The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

It is an exciting time for learning and development at Waka Kotahi as we establish our new Centre for Learning and Development. This is a great opportunity to come and play a big part as we create a centre of excellence in learning and drive a learning culture.

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of creative, innovative and impactful learning solutions that drive the capability required to deliver Waka Kotahi’s strategy. This involves leading a significant portfolio where you will create and implement learning initiatives, processes and frameworks to drive capability uplift, respond to the changing world of learning and transform our learning and development programmes to meet the needs of our people.

You will provide consultancy, coaching, learning needs analysis and advice on learning and development with people leaders and their teams, and in collaboration with the wider People Group.

This role will allow you to utilise your strong learning and development, project management and advisory skills to help the team build on its already successful track record. You will also have the opportunity to share your skills; to mentor and coach across the wider Learning and Development community.

About you | Ko koe tēnei

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong adult learning and development knowledge and experience.
  • Strong relationship management and performance consultancy experience
  • Experience in leading the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of complex learning solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Qualification in Adult Education, Learning and Development/Training and/or equivalent relevant experience.
