At New Zealand Post, we’re embarking on an exciting time of change, transformation and industry disruption. With e-commerce booming and the needs of our customers ever-changing and happening faster every day we’re constantly innovating to ensure we’re the best delivery business for New Zealand.
So, if you want to work in a fast-moving, highly competitive industry with a global reach, we could be the legal team for you. We’re pretty busy, but we get to do some cool work.
About the team:
With you onboard we will become a small team of 5, providing strategically driven legal advice and legal risk management to the business. We are part of a wider Governance team which leads NZ Post’s commitment to a sustainable business for our customers, people and stakeholders; manages key stakeholder relationships; provides assurance that key risks are identified and managed; and supports the Board.
As part of the Legal team, you will play a key role in helping NZ Post achieve its commercial, environmental and community goals.
The realities of our role:
This is a generalist role that supports internal stakeholders on a range of matters including the development of new products and services across our business – it should not be surprising that at times you would need to turn your hand to anything that comes along!
A bit about you:
Our business is complex, so your ability to just ‘go with the flow’ and get things done will be crucial for you to feel comfortable in our world. You’ll have a natural curiosity about what we do and be open to working in the grey. You’ll be used to being resourceful; identifying opportunities and making your own calls in managing your role. You’ll also be looking for modern, flexible, working arrangements. We’re looking for lawyers with 8+ years PQE. We’re ok if you don’t have a current practising certificate, but you do need to be eligible to hold one.
Above all, you’ll enjoy having fun with a great group of people!
