This is an opportunity to make a difference. This role will support the Department of Conservation to work with others to accelerate conservation growth.

 

A Senior National Support Advisor is sought to be part of the National Support Team working to progress a portfolio of large complex conservation projects in partnership with iwi, community, business, philanthropists, government and other agencies. The portfolio includes landscape restoration projects, education, volunteering and corporate conservation work.

 

Work of the role is varied and includes:

  • Providing analysis to inform prioritisation of work and resource allocation
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including business cases
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Partnerships Group systems and processes
  • Supporting Partnerships directors and managers in the management of projects and their strategic alignment
  • Benefits measurement and reporting

 

We are seeking applicants with a proven ability to build successful relationships and work effectively in complex and/or ambiguous situations. The successful applicant will have excellent skills in written and oral communication, analysis, problem-solving and negotiation, be a self-starter, and enjoy working with teams to turn strategy into successful outcomes.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
