Our Skills and Workforce Policy team sits within the Policy and Trade branch and leads the development and delivery a work programme to build the size and skill of the primary sector workforce.
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
We are currently looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to join our team. You will work alongside other team members to contribute the policy analysis required to progress MPI’s Primary Sector Workforce Programme, which aims to place at least 10,000 more New Zealanders from all walks of life into primary sector jobs over the next four years. This will be interesting and varied work and you will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders.
You will be an experienced policy practitioner who delivers high quality advice. You may have experience in education or employment policy and/or have worked in the primary sector skills area. You will have the ability to write clearly and an interest in growing your ability to analyse data and present it in engaging visual formats. You will be collaborative in style and be comfortable approaching people, building relationships and influencing policy design.
