We have multiple full-time permanent opportunities for innovative and relationship focused Senior Policy Analysts to join our team.  We are also open to secondment opportunities.   Locations include Wellington and Rotorua.

Our team – Treaty Partnerships –  developing strong partnerships and fostering relationships and opportunities through collaboration with iwi/Māori; and negotiating the environment components of Treaty of Waitangi settlements and implementing settlement commitments.

We are looking for a candidates who will have expertise in the below areas:

  • An understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, Te Ao Māori and engaging with Māori/iwi.
  • Experience in the negotiation of Treaty of Waitangi settlements and implementation of settlement commitments;
  • Experience advancing Māori perspectives in policy, preferably within central government, local government or the private sector.
  • Relationship management experience and the ability to create lasting relationships with multiple stakeholder groups.

To be successful in the role of Senior Policy Analyst you will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and experience including the ability to inspire, influence and build the capability of others.
