The Sector Engagement and Implementation team is a new team within the Ministry, responsible for the delivery of effective, high-quality engagement with the health sector on workforce development, and ensuring the successful implementation of strategic Health Workforce initiatives.
About the opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to drive the successful implementation of the Health Workforce Strategy and specific strategic priority programmes. You’ll be managing multiple projects, working in collaboration with the Directorate, Ministry and partners across the sector.
This is a new team, and there will be a focus on building and improving the directorate’s project management systems, while making sure in-train projects are being delivered.
We’re looking for a motivated individual to help shape the direction of our growing team.
You will be an experienced Senior Project Manager who has demonstrated experience managing projects in a complex, consultative stakeholder environment. You will be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation and across multiple organisations.
You have experience developing and implementing project systems, with a relevant professional project management qualification and/or a significant track record of leading, managing and implementing successful projects.
You’re organised, with excellent time management skills, and you’re also comfortable with adapting your plans when needed. You’re a strategic thinker who can also work in the detail. Experience managing projects in the public sector, and through government processes, would be an advantage.
