They’ll think critically about the frameworks, libraries, tools and directions we take. The ability to plan out a larger system, analysis and assumptions, suggesting technologies and justifying those decisions. They’ll have a solution design mindset, understanding the why, thinking about larger scale implications as the product grows and evolves. Not quite there yet but keen to grow into the above? Each product team is headed up by a Dev Manager who oversees the overall product teams delivery and growth, and a technical lead who floats between pods providing technical support, guidance and mentorship. Each team consists of a couple of Pods, within each pod you could have anywhere between 3-7 devs, a dev team leader, maybe a QA, DevOps (it just depends on the team and what they need)At Xero we often talk about having multiple teams/families. You have your core team ie your Pods. But you also have your wider product team, which includes your Product Owner, Agile Team Facilitator, Product Designers and Product Researchers.
