Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities brings together the three existing agencies of Housing New Zealand, HLC and KiwiBuild to form a new organisation.
We do amazing, important work. We contribute to thriving communities that provide New Zealanders with good quality, affordable homes. Our work supports people to have good access to jobs, amenities and services, as well as improving the wellbeing of current and future generations.
We do this by being a world class public housing provider, and partnering with others to deliver urban development projects.
Ko tā mātou mahi – Our role
As Senior Stakeholder Relationship Manager you will design and deliver professional engagement practices with communities and stakeholders, and build and manage exceptional strategic partnerships on behalf of the organisation. As a senior member of the team, you will additionally take on some support and mentoring of others in the group and across the organisation.
You will need to have great interpersonal and communication skills, and be passionate about achieving positive results for Kāinga Ora. You’ll also need to be able to utilise your political and strategic nous in helping the organisation to connect and collaborate well with strategic partners.
These are operational, not executive, roles amongst our Auckland team/as our sole team member in the Whangārei office.

These roles will require both well-developed community networks and regular travel throughout the Auckland/Northland regions respectively.
