Our work is secret, but the reason for our success isn’t. It’s our people. And we’re just like you. We’re ordinary people. But together, we’re doing extraordinary things to protect New Zealand and New Zealanders.

While we’re ordinary people, we’re not all the same. We welcome diversity, in all its forms, in fact we consider it a strength.

Join us and become part of a Community where your skills, experiences and ideas are valued and you’re encouraged to be curious, to share your ideas and of course, have fun along the way.

Be part of a small, highly performing team and be a major contributor in the development and support of assessments of national security risks for external and internal customers.

This role will offer you a diverse and interesting mix of work that spans multiple technology domains. Your focus will be building working relationships with sector specific partners and providers such as operators in the telecommunications sector, providers of launch vehicles and spacecraft payload operators in the space industry and evaluating large and complex business transactions as part of the New Zealand Overseas Investment Act.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong Telecommunications or a vendor related industry background
  • Proven oral and written communications skills and be able to present effectively to a variety of audiences from technical engineers to executives.
  • An in-depth knowledge of information technology security practises, threat vectors and industry insights
  • Strong connections to the ICT industry in New Zealand with a mature understanding of the industry market pressures, technology developments and security landscape
  • A broad understanding of business structures and some knowledge of the underpinning legal frameworks used in acquisitions and mergers.

All of this knowledge will be complimented by your proven success in mentoring and leading teams and your ability to engage and influence people.

If you would like a role which offers opportunity and scope to make it your own, this could be the one for you.

We want our people to succeed, whatever success looks like for them. Join us and we’ll give you significant professional development opportunities aimed at taking your career in the direction you want it to go. You won’t stand still with us as we’re committed to ongoing learning and continuous improvement.

We’re also committed to your wellbeing. We want our people to be the best they can be, both at work and at home. We offer our people comprehensive benefits, access to staff networking groups, flexible working and great work-life balance.
