We are looking for an exceptional leader with an engaging and people-centric approach to manage a team at our busy and fast-moving Oamaru site.

You will lead a team of approximately 15 people to deliver outstanding client service by encouraging service excellence at every opportunity. You will play a key leadership role in an integrated service response.  Our five principles, Kotahitanga, Manaakitanga, Whakanui, Whakawhanaungatanga and Hononga will guide you and your team towards success.  Your ability to establish credibility and manage relationships across diverse audiences will be evident.

Additional to running a successful Service Centre, you will play a key role as part of the Southern Regional Leadership team providing project management support across the region. 

Reporting to the Regional Director you will:

  • provide effective leadership, ensuring we’re working as one – Kotahitanga
  • lead the operation effectively and responsible for overall site performance, including the successful implementation of initiatives
  • create a welcoming and positive environment for our staff – where we Manaakitanga and deliver a fantastic service 
  • provide guidance, support and coaching to develop people capability 
  • build relationships with other MSD teams to make sure we’re connected and delivering an integrated service, Whakawhanaungatanga
  • be committed to continuous improvement – always connecting back to our purpose, Hononga, and looking for better ways of delivering our services.
  • successful experience in management / leadership roles will be considered advantageous
