Our Work Brokers and Employment Coordinators work across the Northland Region to identify, grow and develop job opportunities for our clients.  You will understand sales and marketing, be able to identify suitable employers and employment initiatives, and forge relationships in the communities across the region.  You will be able to demonstrate your ability in this critical leadership role for Northland.

 

Your team has accountability for delivering placement brokerage, vacancy management and employer / community relationship management services across Te Tai Tokerau.  

 

You will be responsible for leading the successful implementation of Regional and National initiatives.  You will have a proven track record of delivering successful business outcomes and whilst there are established processes and systems in place, your ability to apply a continuous improvement lens will be welcomed.

Daily responsibilities
 
 
  • Leadership and team performance – ensuring the team are top performers and are goals and targets focussed
  • Recruit, on-board and train new members of the team – create a team people want to be part of and provide continuous learning opportunities for them to grow
  • Motivate and engage the team across the Northland regional service centres– you’ll be encouraging your team to share knowledge and best practice to achieve the best results
  • Ensuring products and services are delivered accurately, efficiently and in a timely way, and according to Ministry policy and business standards
  • Stakeholder Management and Business Development – you’ll  be working with the wider team to ensure your region is linked with key businesses and stakeholders
  • Actively participating in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of regional plans that support the strategic direction 
  • Track team progress to target and forecast year end results, report to regional leadership team 
  • Effective management of Crown Expenditure budget, ensuring that the financial targets are achieved
  • Advance your own professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, networking with the national team of work services and labour market managers
      

 
Remuneration for this role is from $85,749 to $128,623 (mid-point $107,186).  Application along this salary scale is dependent on relevant work experience and evidenced skills.
