This is a newly created key strategic role with a respected multidisciplinary consultancy with almost 200 people across NZ, based in their modern central office in Auckland. This new role will complement their existing services offerings across the business and provides an excellent opportunity for someone keen to take a leadership role for stormwater and acting as the interface between the water infrastructure team and the environmental science (surface water) groups. This role will appeal to perhaps an ambitious senior engineer or experienced engineer in a similar role at Principal or Technical Director level looking for a national role. Key elements of the role are: Lead Technical Design & Delivery Business development in the stormwater sector Lead and grow the stormwater service offering Profitability of the Stormwater Service line Day to day you will be involved in: Investigation, selection and design of stormwater treatment and conveyance systems Urban flooding investigations and modelling Stormwater network master planning Contract management including cost estimating, tender and contract preparation, construction monitoring and commissioning Project management Business development About You We are interested to hear from experienced senior engineer and above candidates who possess good development and technical skills together with a holistic approach who can demonstrate: Bachelors (ideally Masters) in Civil Engineering with at least 10+ years post graduate experience in the New Zealand market. Substantive stormwater engineering experience, including \ water sensitive design (SUDs) and planning and green infrastructure design. Stormwater capacity analysis and design (overland flows, soakage, waterway conveyance and restoration). Stormwater treatment analysis and design and modelling. Industrial stormwater planning and management. Catchment management planning and analysis. Client management /Work stream development. Proposal and report writing. Solid knowledge of local authority guidelines, Resource Management Act and other relevant legislation. Candidates for this position will need to be based in and hold the right to work in New Zealand.
