The role

Our Payments and Settlements team is growing and transforming to provide the market with a future focused payments environment. We offer a supportive and flexible working environment where you’ll be encouraged to collaborate, use your initiative and build strong relationships with a number of stakeholders.

The Settlements Officer is responsible for ensuring the settlement of the Bank’s domestic and foreign market transactions and provide custodial services on behalf of the Bank’s external customers. You will manage the transaction life-cycle events and reconcile the Bank’s accounts, analysing and investigating any discrepancies. 

The Settlements Officer role involves shift work, with an on call component. 

About you

You will have good computer literacy and had exposure to banking/financial markets. You will be organised and able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in a team environment. Ideally you will have knowledge of NZClear, Euroclear or Swift but more importantly you will enjoy mastering new systems and be an effective problem solver.
