About the Company: Our client is a well- established Christchurchresidential construction company specialising in architectural residential newbuilds and renovations. Their company is a fast growing with immediate need for asite foreman to join high performing team providing a very high level ofleadership, practical skills and knowledge of this industry sector. Our clientis a Master Builders Association member and has strong relationships withsuppliers, architects, and sub-contractors throughout Canterbury. About the role: As a Site Foreman, you will needto be driven and focused to succeed. You will be across all stages of projects,reporting directly to the construction manager and company directors. You willbe working on a variety of projects and sizes as well as being responsible forall site- based activities, quality control, and organizing sub-contractors. Your responsibilities (Not limited to): Overseeing the site-based team & construction on a day to day basis Ensuring adherence to project specifications, costs and time Reporting progress & preparing site reports Assisting the senior site manager as directed Co-ordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers to achieve programme Working through design issues with the project team, contractors, clients, and consultants as and where required Running daily pre-start meetings, inductions, and weekly co-ordination meetings Carry out Quality Assurance checks Manage the Health and Safety on site (with support from the HSQE Coordinator) in line with the company policy. Minimum 45 hours per week- $35 per hour Requirements To besuccessful with your application, you must have: A strong track record in the NZ market or a returning Kiwi with strong offshore experience Trade qualified in carpentry with 5+ years experience in foreman role Strong tenure with previous employers Exceptional planning and co-ordination ability Thorough understanding of residential construction techniques and standards Excellent communication and leadership skills and a proactive approach to management of on-site staff. Proven exposure to architectural residential projects including hill builds in New Zealand is essential.
