Regional Senior Practitioner – Canterbury 

 

  • 12 months secondment opportunity
  • Focus on the most at risk children and young people in NZ
  • Provide support to sites across Canterbury
  • Lead key regional projects and initiatives 

We are looking for a Senior Practitioner who is passionate about the care and protection of tamariki in New Zealand. Join our Canterbury Team – a team passionate for getting things right for children, young people and the community. You can be part of a positive and supportive team and help children and young people be safe, strong and thrive.

Having already built robust practice through your social work experience, this is a great opportunity for someone to step up and take on the role of mentoring and coaching staff and develop your leadership skills. You will support sites where extra help is needed.

Using the latest strengths-based practice tools and assessment frameworks; you will work hard to get quality outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi, whānau and the community. 

The role will be remunerated reflecting the skills required.

  • Great Stakeholder Relationship Management.
  • Resilient, motivated and driven character.
  • Good computer navigation and typing skills.
  • A full, clean valid driver licence.

You must have a Social Work Qualification recognised by the New Zealand Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) or full registration with SWRB.
