About the Team:
The team at Upper Hutt are passionate about protecting and advocating for the most at risk children and young people in our community. You will be part of a team of over 25; joining professional, positive and supportive social workers using the latest strengths based practice tools and assessment frameworks to achieve quality outcomes for mokopuna and whānau.
About the Role:
We are looking for social workers who are passionate about the care and protection of tamariki in New Zealand. Ideally you would have had social work experience already and enjoy working with whānau to assist them in creating change that results in positive outcomes through quality social work practice that holds tamariki and rangatahi at the centre of everything we do.
This is a fast paced workplace, where no two days are the same and you need resilience and grit to manage the changing environment in which we work. You will work on a range of activities, from preparing reports, managing cases, to attending family group conferences. You will be planning, investigating and implementing appropriate courses of action, and using best practice to exercise good decision making processes.
