Their integrated satellite and cellular communications systems provide voice, data, messaging, and flight tracking capability for global customers, including search and rescue, air-medical, firefighting, law enforcement, and Military aircraft. Due to sustained business growth, Flightcell has a newly created role for an experienced Software and Hardware Test Engineer to design, develop and implement test procedures for new and existing software and hardware. You will develop manual and automated test plans and scripts to ensure a structured, detailed and a high-quality test environment. You will run the software testing program and test hardware as needed. This includes working in collaboration with the Software Development Team on user interface and product test design. In an ISO-9001 certified environment, a key part of your role will be contributing to the development and implementation of procedures to meet quality management standards and future certification requirements.  This opportunity will suit someone with strong C, C++ and Python knowledge and proven experience across GIT Version control systems, Linux and automation tools; supported by a tertiary software engineering or development degree. You may have several years’ experience under your belt and are ready for your next step or are an experienced test engineer looking for a change of lifestyle. In a great team environment, you will be collaborative, have initiative to think outside the box and be an effective communicator. Experience in Agile, cellular or satellite communications, plus knowledge and/or an interest in aviation are all beneficial.
