About the Role

You will play an important part of delivering LINZ’s open geospatial data and ensuring its users draw maximum value. Your geospatial skills will be tested and developed daily, as you assist in the analysis, publishing and promotion of LINZ data.

You’ll provide technical GIS and data management support for a wide range of internal stakeholders and our community of open data customers.

The Open Data & Reuse team is small, supportive and fast-paced with a great range of skills and experience to draw on. An ideal place to begin a geospatial career.  


What you will do:

  • Working daily with complex national geospatial databases
  • Supporting our open data publishing process 
  • Providing internal and public facing geospatial support


What you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Geospatial Information Systems and/or experience within a geospatial or data related role
  • An understanding of QGIS, Esri, FME and IntraMaps would be ideal
  • A natural ability to share and communicate complex ideas and information with a diverse audience
