Join our committed team providing speech and language therapy support for students with significant learning support needs.
There are a combination of full time and part time permanent roles as well as a fixed term position.
The jobs are in the Waikato region.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team providing ecological assessment, intervention, training and reporting services, advising and supporting schools and early childhood centres to provide inclusive practices that enable student success.
You will need strong teaming skills and the competency to establish effective relationships with whānau, parents, families, educators and key providers working within the community.
An awareness and sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity, a strong commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, the Ministries priorities and the Māori education strategy ‘Ka Hikitia’, are essential.
A knowledge of Te Reo me ngā Tikanga and previous successful engagement with Māori is highly desirable.
Applicants must have suitable training as a Speech Language Therapist and ideally have at least one year’s experience. A current driver’s license is required. The Ministry of Education has an equal opportunities policy.
