Auckland City District is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Forensic Supervisor to lead one of our Scene of Crime teams based at the Auckland City District Hub.

You will be responsible for managing your team, enabling them to deliver Our Business as we working together to achieve a collective impact under the Tamaki Makaurau umbrella. We are seeking talented and motivated applicants that can demonstrate the ability to manage a high performing team, and ensure scene examinations contribute to prevention and resolution of a wide variety of offences.


  • Lead and manage a team to deliver on Our Business
  • Mentor and train staff in crime scene examination
  • Plan, co-ordinate and deploy resources to demand
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation


  • Experience in crime scene examination covering a wide variety of offences
  • Knowledge of and experience in exhibit handling, packaging and processing
  • Familiar with Fingerprint / Scene of Crime Office laboratory procedures and crime scene safety

Additional Information:

  • Successful applicant must reside in the Auckland Area

Certification Requirements:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate in Crime Scene examination (SOCO 1 level) or above or equivalent

Special Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years crime scene examination experience or equivalent.
  • Able to work a 7 day roster including shift work.
  • Current full driver’s license.
  • Must be a NZ Citizen or have NZ permanent residency.
