Newly-created role with a growing company Use your analytical and supply planning skills Competitive salary, staff benefits, positive company culture Company: Our client is an internationally recognised New Zealand manufacturer of food grade plastic products, based in their state-of-the-art facility in Auckland. An innovative company, they are constantly expanding their product range and as such they are expanding their team. Responsibilities: As the company continues to expand, they have recognised a gap for a Supply Planner who would work alongside the Demand Planner. This is an opportunity to use your analytical skills and supply/demand planning experience in a manufacturing environment and make an impact. Among other tasks, your responsibilities will include forecasting, identifying a feedback loop on the company’s performance, working with the Sales and Planning teams and liaising with stakeholders and customers, controlling inventory targets, and identifying process improvement opportunities. Requirements: Due to the technical nature of the role, you must have strong analytical skills. You’ll have experience in a high-speed manufacturing facility and have excellent communication skills to work with people across the business and externally. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Business (or equivalent directly related work experience) Minimum 5 years’ experience in a demand/supply planner role within a manufacturing environment Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred) Excellent knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes Strong numeric and analytical skills and ability to deal with complex financial data. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced level of proficiency with Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels within a matrix supply chain organisation.
