About the role

A new and exciting opportunity has come about for a motivated Support Officer in the Refugee and Migrant Services Branch of Immigration New Zealand. As Support Officer you will contribute to the operations by providing support for data entry, file coordination and office administration.

About the team:

This role is in the Support Services Team, Refugee Quota Programme, within the Refugee and Migrant Services Branch of the Immigration New Zealand. The role will be based at the Refugee Quota at 251 Massey Road, Mangere. The role will require working at other offices of the Refugee and Migrant Services Branch including the Refugee Status Unit as required.

The Support Officer is a team member position in MBIE.  The Support Officer will bring their business understanding and perspective to work in partnership with their manager and other staff. This role contributes to the operations of the Support Services team by providing excellent data entry services, file coordination and general administration support to the Refugee Quota and Refugee Status teams. The Support Officer is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of advice and practices in relation to their contribution to the team’s work and providing excellent customer service and administrative support to the whole Refugee Unit.
