We have a position available on our Community team, based at the Birmingham Dr Office. This is a permanent part-time position working on the Mobile Respite Team, Starting February 2021.
Hours or work are 20 hours per week:
8.30am-5.00pm (Thursday & Friday)
8.00am-12.00pm (Saturday)
As a Support Worker on the Community Team, you might be kept busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills or attending appointments and advocating for people. You might be assisting people to connect with their communities. You will need to be prepared to support our people to do whatever it takes – cleaning, cooking, gardening, or helping with everyday household tasks.

The Team
You will be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Community Team, working with Support Workers who all have the common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness.
We are looking for a down to earth person who has a good sense of humour, integrity, honesty, reliability, and flexibility.
You
You will be someone who wants to work in a close knit and supportive team. You will have a caring nature and a passion for supporting people in a recovery focused approach to help with their recovery journeys. You will need to be able to provide medication support for our people when needed.
You will have impeccable attention to detail and have plenty of common sense. You will have a high level of knowledge around community supports and how to navigate and access external services for the people we support. Of course, you will have heaps of initiative and be keen to learn.
