Team Administrator, APEC NZ
Nāku te rourou, nāu te rourou, ka ora aite iwi
(With your contribution and my contribution, everyone will thrive)
Are you a motivated and experienced administrator ready to get your hands into a new project? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment as part of a cross-functional high performing team? Do you want to make New Zealand’s APEC year hum? Then, do we have the opportunity for you.
The Ministry is ambitious about New Zealand’s role in the Asia Pacific, and the role trade and economic policy can play in addressing future challenges. In 2021 New Zealand will chair APEC and for the first time the entire year of meetings will be run virtually. APEC 2021 is a significant opportunity for New Zealand to work with our fellow economies to support the region’s economic recovery from COVID-19.
We are looking for somebody to work across the wider APEC NZ programme to provide seamless administrative support. Ideally you will have a background in fast-paced administrative roles with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
This is a varied role where you will gain exposure to a range of projects and disciplines – no two days will be the same! In addition to general administrative support to teams and projects, the Team Administrator may be involved in event administration, recruitment administration, arranging travel and logistics, and financial administration. How you perform in this role will contribute to the success of our APEC host year.
This is a once-every-20 year opportunity, where the experience you’ll gain from working on APEC 2021 will set you apart from others in your profession.
Please note this is a fixed term role with an indicative end date of 31st January 2022. You must have the ability to obtain and maintain appropriate New Zealand government security clearance.
Please apply by following the link provided, attaching your CV and a cover letter outlining the skills, knowledge and experience you can bring to the role.
Applications close: Wednesday, 10th February 2021, 9:00pm
