If you’re looking for a great team environment and a change of pace, then this is the opportunity for you.  Now is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the Ministry of Justice.  Significant work is underway through the Hāpaitia te Oranga Tangata, Safe and Effective Justice initiative which is leading change in the Justice System.  Long term solutions to improve community safety and the way justice works are being developed.  This is just one of a number of initiatives that are being developed within the Ministry and the Justice Sector. 

The Team Administrator role is located within the Regional Service Delivery (RSD) Operations Support team.  The team supports the RSD group, which is the largest group in our Ministry, looking after Courts and Tribunals.  This includes the District Court, Māori Land Court, Waitangi Tribunal and the numerous tribunals, such as the Disputes and Tenancy Tribunals, that the Ministry administers.  The Operations Support team are set up to enable our people to focus on delivering great services, by providing high quality advice and all manner of support.

The Team Administrator role is responsible for providing timely, high quality clerical, administrative and related services to the RSD Operations Support team.

Ideally you’ll have:

  • high degree of computer literacy, including an intermediate knowledge of email software, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • excellent attention to detail, time management and planning skills
  • a talent for multi-tasking
  • strong written and verbal communication skills; and
  • be able to relate to a wide range of people at all levels.

You’ll also have experience working in a flexible environment where you are required to respond to changing needs and priorities and have knowledge of office procedures, business process and filing structures.

This role is based in the Justice Centre, National Office Wellington. 

Salary range:  $43,931-$62,020
