As the Geospatial Information National Lead, you will be working in a dedicated team of professionals and play a key role in the planning and delivery of GIS specific projects and initiatives to meet both current, and future, requirements. You will provide leadership to the geospatial team, and step up into various areas of responsibility, as and when required.


You will have a sound understanding of GIS (theory and practical) and experience in systems analysis and modelling, and ideally specific experience in ESRI ArcGIS, ArcPro and familiarity with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server and GeoCortex products.


To be successful, you will have a very strong technical orientation, but also bring your interpersonal, communication and engagement skills to be effective in a changing, dynamic and diverse organisation. You will work effectively within the team and the wider organisation and have the necessary leadership skills to develop less experienced team members.


This role has the scope and diversity to broaden and enhance your GIS and leadership career and you will work with the latest tools, have involvement with future-focused projects and be viewed as an industry specialist.


Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
