The Transport Services Group plan, design, build, operate and maintain an integrated transport system which reflects our plans and priorities and to provide, improve and maintain the land transport system to effectively enable transport services.
The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
The Team Lead will lead national transport planning initiatives through the phases of business case development, from confirming the strategic purpose and direction, through the benefits realisation process, to identifying a recommended programme of works and subsequent recommended project option, including support of the consenting phases. This role also includes direct people leadership of the across the South Island for the Target Growth Portfolio operating in Christchurch and Queenstown.
This role requires a strong people leader who can mentor and manage internal teams and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Having a natural ability to build strong relationships across the entire Transport Agency and with external partners, you will excel at identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in order to deliver improved value to our customers and stakeholders.

Our preference would be to have the Team Lead based in Christchurch however we are flexible and open to considering candidates based in other locations in New Zealand.
