We are currently recruiting for s to assist our client to produce daily lunch orders, getting healthy food to our hungry learners in our Whakatane Schools. Our clients mission is to see healthy, nutritionally balanced lunches in the bellies of every young person in New Zealand. We are looking for experienced candidates to produce healthy lunches promptly and efficiently to designated schools throughout the week.
Day to day duties will include:
•Following recipes to produce nutritious meals and ensuring all product levels are of a high standard
•Receiving incoming deliveries
•Keeping premises and equipment clean and hygienic
•Maintaining a harmonious work environment with high staff morale
•Following food safety policies and procedures
•Maintaining a good working relationship with suppliers and schools
•Day to day staff management
•Daily record keeping
Job skills and qualifications:
•Previous food production experience
•Knowledge of food safety laws
•Ability to lift up to 10kgs
•Have the capability to work in a standing position for an extended period
To be considered you must be available on the following dates:
•Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October Attend one 3 hour admin session
•Monday 5th to Friday 9th October – One week of training (2nd week of school holidays)
•Monday 12th October – Term 4 officially starts and lunches go live
This role would suit someone who has previously managed staff, is naturally organised, can work under pressure and will work quickly to meet deadlines. In addition, we are looking for candidates who possess a strong work ethic, are a team player and have excellent problem-solving abilities. The role requires you to work during the school terms with a total of 11 weeks paid annual leave. If you have the passion and experience required for this role, we want to hear from you!
